$5000 REWARD Offered for Information About Newt, Davidsville, PA Stallion Missing and Believed To Be Stolen

DAVIDSVILLE, PA—On Tuesday, June 12, 2020, a horse on Church Farm Road was found missing. It was first thought that he had escaped. After an extensive search, he is now believed to have been stolen.

SNF Kiss This, also known as Newt, is a stallion owed by Joe Marisa and is missing from his property. The stallion is a buckskin American Quarter Horse and is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).

He has a distinctive freeze brand on his left hip that says SHF with a rafter, which looks like a roof of a house, above the lettering. He also has a cloudy dot n his right eye from an old injury.

Now Joe has vowed that the love for his stolen barrel horse will never stop and he will never give up trying to find him. The story below not only belongs to Joe and Newt but echoes the feeling of many stolen horse victims.  Stolen Horse International hopes you will read his story so that you can better understand the impact that horse theft has on a family, the horse, and their friends.

Joe says, “If he is returned to me unharmed there will be no questions asked”, on his Facebook page.

A report was filed with local officials and Stolen Horse International, Inc, also known as NetPosse, the nation’s lost and found for missing and stolen horses.

Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the online report on its Web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Joe Marisa and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse.com Alerts (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and to thousands of people in their NetPosse Network in an effort to rally the public to help this horse owner in need.

A video produced by Stolen Horse International has already had over 54,500 views and can be seen here or

A nonprofit organization, NetPosse, is well known for horse theft education and assistance in recovering stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment. With 23 years’ experience working with victims like Marisa, the organization is the nation’s foremost authority on stolen and missing horse cases.

You will find a webpage with information, pictures, and a printable flyer for Newt on his NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. People interested in helping can search for NETPOSSE ID #3380, or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: https://netposse.com/tag.asp?id=3380

“Newt’s flyer needs to be posted in all public places since it is possible that someone has seen the horse and does not know who to contact. And remember, not everyone is on the internet, especially in rural areas of the country. It is up to those who are on the internet to print the flyer and make sure these horses are seen in public places,” says Stolen Horse International founder Debi Metcalfe.

Circulating Newt’s flyer and the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as the horse could be anywhere by now. These flyers are the tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible.

“At NetPosse.com we never underestimate the power of one. If you are reading this information you are now that “one”. You can make a difference. I cannot encourage you enough to act now and help Joe and Newt when they need you most. If you have any information please contact Joe at 814-525-2245 or email joemarisajr@gmail.com.
