Yes, we do. We have several pages and groups, but the main page, with over 71,000 followers, is Stolen Horse International-NetPosse.com. Make sure you like and follow it.
No. Everyone's time and effort to help our organization and the victims are on a volunteer basis. There have never been salaries or paid employees. All the funds raised from fees, fundraisers, and donations go to our Victim's Service and Educational Outreach programs and toward paying our bills.
Oh Lord, yes! We have the only missing horse database in the USA and issue NetPosse Alerts to our social platforms and mailing list. We assist victims in their search for horses and provide educational resources and clinics, and our founder speaks nationwide about all things missing and equine ID. These are just a few of the tasks we take on for horse owners and the horse industry.
Yes, you can edit your information at any time.
There are many ways for people to help. We need funds desperately and do appreciate every donation, and no donation is too small.
We also need volunteers to help run the organization and help with fundraisers. If you have extra time and want your efforts to matter, contact us at id@netposse.com. Make sure you put "I want to volunteer" in the subject line if that interests you.
You can also login to your account and click on the volunteer button.
You can go to our website and click on Donate. Here you can donate once, monthly, or for a specific reason. You can mail your donation to Stolen Horse International, PO Box 1341, Shelby, NC 28151

We do not have paid staff, and everyone is a volunteer. If you have left a message, we will get back to you. If our box is full, email us. The best way to reach us is to email us at id@netposse.com.
You must first go to the report in question. With the report open on your screen:
NetPosse has earned 501(c)(3)non-profit status with the IRS, but that does not mean any professional, government or outside agencies fund us.
NetPosse’s overhead and operational expenses are paid via the modest fees it generates from report fees, proceeds from their portion of rewards we sometimes receive, sales of products on the site, and generous donations.
Unfortunately, being a non-profit does not free the organization from having expenses and meeting financial obligations.
Please do not compare our nonprofit to a social media page or group. That would be similar to comparing apples to oranges. There is no other organization that does what we do, even if there are social media pages similarly sharing information.
Yes, Stolen Horse International, Inc. is registered with the IRS as a rescue organization.
Our founder Debi Metcalfe has been speaking at events since 2001 and loves the chance to teach people what she has learned over two decades from working with thousands of victims, including her own family. This all started with the theft of a horse named Idaho. You can click here to learn more about Debi Metcalfe's experience and why she is referred to as an expert on horse theft and equine ID.
You can then painlessly and easily import your old details and reports.
The latest NetPosse site is built around record management for your animals. You can:
And if the worst happens and you need to file a report, it is FREE for a registered animal for the primary report. Add-ons would be an additional fee.
