It Took 10 Years But Jed the Horse Is Going Home!

"I FOUND HIM!", says Meghan Fry on her Facebook page on March 26, 2021.

In 2011, Meghan Fry of North Carolina was stationed in Wyoming when she had to sell her childhood best friend, Jedadiah.  She was devastated but tried to find a family that would take good care of him and appreciates him.

Now, for the story we've all been waiting to hear. What happened when Meghan finally saw Jed for the first time?

This evening has been an overload of emotions and this is a reunion I’ve been waiting years to have. There are literally no words to explain this feeling.

A couple of weeks ago you may have seen my post about finding this sweet boy after 10 years of searching for him and I’m over the moon to say that he is finally coming home!!

I have so much love and gratitude for Sherry Z Fortner and Eileen Smith for loving him these past few years and for welcoming me with open arms. You’ll never understand how grateful I am that you have allowed me the opportunity to be his mom again.

And I can’t say thank you enough to my pops for being by my side and taking this crazy adventure with me! I literally couldn’t have done this trip without you and you’ve been such a fun copilot! This was so worth the 24 hr and 1,586 mile trip from North Carolina to Nebraska. These are memories that will last a lifetime.

Tomorrow morning we load up and make the trip back to the east coast! We hope to be home by Tuesday evening. Please send all of the prayers and good vibes that we have an easy trip back home and we all arrive safe and sound
