8 horses rescued from terrible conditions in Houston

Houston—Are you missing a horse? If so, we know it is a long shot but take a look at these horses rescued last week. It is a long shot but missing horses are found sometimes in situations like this one.

Eight malnourished horses are now safe after being rescued from a Sunnyside property last week on Thursday, August 5^th, 2021.08.09.

Three stallions, two colts, and three mares were saved in shared efforts by the Harris County Constable Precinct 1 and the Houston SPCA Animal Cruelty Investigators.

The horses were living in a run-down mud-filled area where they didn’t have adequate clean water or food. A few of the horses had overgrown hooves.

While awaiting a custody hearing in a few weeks, the horses are receiving care with the Houston SPCA.
