If you've visited our web site during the past week you've probably noticed that... it looks different. Our web site has a new look, new structure, and new functionality that we hope will increase recoveries, increase volunteers, and easier listing for victims when they need us most. You will find more ways that we and our readers can make use of the site, netposse.com.
The biggest change to the site is an increased prominence devoted to how we present our alerts and other listing information.
Our NetPosse.com Alerts now comes out on the site in a fully searchable format on the home page as soon as possible after the alerts hits. The Alerts will scroll across the top left of the screen and will be linked to the latest alert item.
We have a featured item section on the page, currently presenting one of the latest NetPosse features. The new web pages make it easier to submit or "like" items on Facebook. You can now read our news stories on our own site instead of having to find them on outside sites. And when there is really big news, our new, Breaking News bar displays across all the pages on the site, not just the home page. The site also has a far more prominent signup form for our email list.
These are some of the highlights of the first stage of a multi-part upgrade and expansion of the Stolen Horse International/Netposse.com site. The near- and medium-term future includes more new functionality, some important new content sections, and some additional graphic design work. We are also still working out some bugs and issues in the new design, so if you spot anything that doesn't seem to be working right, or which could be better, please let us know.
New site features in a nutshell:
We are still working on the site getting it ready the launch in February. Keep watching for many changes.
