A horses named Spider that went missing from his new home in September after he ran away from his new home.
Horses do things like this often. So many people think the "found" horses have been dropped off or abandoned, often making a recovery more difficult, or impossible. Sometimes well meaning people take the horse far away from where they get out of their pastures. Sometimes not so well meaning people take the horses and sell them.
If this happen to your horse, are you prepared for the search and recovery? If necessary, can you identify yourself as the owner of your horse legally? What can you do for you and your horse to make sure there is no question of ownership if you one day find your horse is missing?
