Thank you NetPosse Volunteers! Ripley is Home!

June 1, 2013 GARDENDALE, AL - It is hard to find words to say how thankful and grateful we are that Ripley is now back home. We rescuedRipleyMissingAL2013REC1.JPG this horse from a bad situation and then he “disappeared”. But thanks to all of you, he’s now back home. There is no way that we could have done this on our own.

Thank You hardly seems adequate, but we mean it from the bottom of our hearts. Without the help of NetPosse.com Alerts, getting the news media involved and the hundreds of thousands of volunteers who shared and cross-posted the info, Ripley would most likely still be in the hands of whoever took him. Because of all of you “turning up the heat”, he is now back home and safe.

It is obvious that someone had him because when he was found he had been groomed and fed. His mane & tail were combed, no burrs, etc. (He had corn & oats in his manure). Sorry, there’s really no nice way to say that. So, apparently whoever had him planned on keeping him.RipleyMissingAL2013REC2.JPG

Once again, we are extremely grateful for all the assistance provided by the organization, the volunteers and the news media for all the help we received. It’s because of YOU that Ripley is now back home.

Debbie and her husband went walking in the woods in the area where Ripley was spotted yesterday. They found a set of shod horse tracks along with Ripley’s unshod prints leading to the main road. You could see where he had been unloaded and turned loose. I guess they were assuming he would return to the farm. This confirms that someone did in fact have him.
