Rescued horse missing from Gardendale farm

One horse owner is frantic after a horse she had recently rescued from bad conditions has disappeared.

Debbie Cousins and her husband care for a menagerie of animals including dogs, pigs, sheep, goats, cats and horses.

They're all rescue animals and the couple finds the creatures permanent homes once they're nursed back to health. So when she learned that a 20-year-old horse named Ripley was headed for the slaughterhouse, Cousins bought him.

But Ripley has disappeared.

"Friday night, he was here for his supper. We haven't seen him since, he just vanished," Cousins said.
