STOKES COUNTY, N.C. September 26, 2012 — A horse that went missing last month in Stokes County has been found and reunited with its owner.
Jasmine, a 13-year-old Tennessee Walker Mare, went missing on Aug. 18 along the Sauratown Trails. The horse’s owner, Marilyn Colvin, said Jasmine got away when she got off the horse to help a friend whose horse was stuck in a hole.
On a Facebook page established in an effort to find the 1,000-lb. horse, searchers announced Wednesday morning Jasmine had been found. A photo of Colvin’s reunion with Jasmine was also posted.
Before Jasmine was found, Colvin said she received offers for help from as far away as Washington state.
Details about Jasmine’s condition were not immediately available.
