URGENT: Family Pleads for Return of Beloved Friesian Horse Stolen from Bakersfield CA

FRIESIAN STALLION "MAMBA" STOLEN IN BAKERSFIELD BRAZEN NIGHTTIME THEFT; NATIONAL NETPOSSE ALERT ISSUED

BAKERSFIELD, CA — August 4, 2026 — Stolen Horse International, widely known as NetPosse.com, has issued a national NetPosse Alert for "Oscar J," a valuable 17-hand Friesian stallion affectionately known as "Mamba". The organization, which operates as the equine industry's equivalent to the Missing Children's network, is working in tandem with the Kern County Sheriff's Department to generate immediate public leads.

Mamba was targeted by thieves on the night of July 31, 2026, between 11:00 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., from his owner's property in Bakersfield, California. Suspects breached the location by cutting through a rear gate chain with a portable saw or grinder. Security footage captured the suspects leading Mamba down Eucalyptus Drive into a nearby gated community, aided by a black 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss (California license plate 31237F4).

Shortly after, an eyewitness observed Mamba being loaded into a horse trailer pulled by an orange Ford Raptor, which then fled west toward Fairfax Road.

  • Temperament: Well-tempered and easy to handle, though not trained to be ridden.
