BUTTERNUT WI December 21, 2013 - If Cherokee could find his way home in time for Christmas, it would be a Hallmark Christmas card kind of story.

Cherokee has been missing since October. Jim Mineau, filed a report with Stolen Horse International on October 23rd. Tens of thousands of NetPosse Alerts have been seen since for Cheyenne. More will go out today with the release of this article.

Shea Mineau, 12,  the little girl who lost her horse “Cherokee” or “Chico” is still hoping for a miracle – but Christmas fairy-tales aside - it doesn’t look like that will happen. Unless, thousands of people are willing to help make her wish come true!

Shea, earned money as a 4-H member to buy the Cherokee, the horse of her dreams by raising hogs to sell. She was so proud to purchase the 9-year old, black and white paint with a blaze and four white stockings.

Two weeks later, she was celebrating her birthday with some friends, Cherokee disappeared without a trace from the party after a guest got scared and let the pony go.

A search was started with first sightings in the Marshfield area, not very far from the Granton farm where he used to live. There have been no new sightings since. Jim Meaneau has said that his daughter is brave but still wants Cherokee back for Christmas.

Mineau thinks that because there was such an extensive search for Cherokee, that is possible that someone may have taken him.

There is a $500 reward to anyone who offers information that leads to the return of the horse.

An account for donations to the reward fund may be made at the Northwoods Community Credit Union on Hwy13 in Park Falls und "Shea Mineau". A percentage of the reward fund will be donated to Stolen Horse International when Cherokeeis found.

The family has not given up hope but as time goes on that it feels less likely that he will be found.

"Bah Humbug, " says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. "This is the season of miracles! We never give up hope and we never underestimate the power of one! "One" is a higer power. One is a little horse that is missing. One is you, the people who are going to share this with your friends and ask them to do the same. One is the person who going to print Cheyenne's new flyer and post it in your community."

Anyone who has seen or does see a little black and white horse can call Jim Mineau at the number on Cherokee's webpage. http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=2088

Metcalfe continues, "I know we are all busy shopping and trying to make our own friends and family happy for Christmas. What a gift it would be if you helped reunite a horse with her young onwer and be a part of a miracle!

If you want to know how it feels to be part of a miracle, what the Miracle of Opie Video below. Then share, print and share again for Cherokee. You can help make a Christmas wish come true!

With the help of volunteers through Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com, many horses are recovered and there is hope for victims like Michelle Pool, even almost 10 years after her horse was stolen. On August 4, 2012 her stolen horse Opie came home thanks to a nice lady in Texas who really knows how to Google and Opie's stolen horse report on NetPosse.com!
