URGENT UPDATE: Bonnie and Blue – A Devastating Theft in Kountze, Texas
Stolen Horse International | NetPosse Case #8931 & #8932
Stolen Horse International continues to actively assist Christy Miller of Kountze, Texas, following the heartbreaking theft of her two horses, Bonnie and Blue. As more details emerge, the emotional toll of this crime is becoming painfully clear.
The horses were stolen after dark on November 12, 2025, and before 8:00 a.m. on November 13, 2025, from Christy’s property at 15928 FM 943, Kountze, TX 77625.
This was not an accident, nor a simple escape.
According to Christy, the fence at the far edge of the property was deliberately cut, and evidence indicates the thieves used dogs to chase and take the horses. This was a calculated and violent act that has left a family shaken.
“They cut the fence. They used dogs and took them,” Christy shared.
Law enforcement responded quickly. A deputy on scene collected a cigarette butt and additional evidence, which is now part of the investigation. At this time, however, there are no solid leads, and the horses remain missing.
THE HUMAN COST OF THIS CRIME
For Christy, the loss of Bonnie and Blue is far more than missing livestock. These horses are family.
She describes the morning they were discovered missing as one of the worst moments of her life.
“I was screaming on my knees, crying to the 911 operator,” she said.
“When I remembered y’all, I calmed down. I told my husband that Stolen Horse International could help.”
In the midst of shock, fear, and overwhelming grief, knowing that there was a dedicated organization experienced in horse theft cases brought her a moment of grounding and hope.
“Y’all are very much needed. I was so comforted just remembering you.”
HORSES IN NEED OF CARE
Both Bonnie and Blue require ongoing medical and professional care, making their recovery even more urgent.
