Horse boxes worth £1,000 each stolen from farms

Wednesday 21 November 2012  - TWO horse box trailers worth £1,000 each have been stolen from farms in Morpeth.

An IFOR Williams trailer was stolen from a barn at a farm in Mitford overnight between Friday, November 16, and the morning of Saturday, November 17.crimetapeSmnetposselogo.jpg

At the same time, a silver IFOR Williams trailer, model LMI26G, was also stolen from a farm in Glororum.

Morpeth Neighbourhood Sergeant Sharon Wilmore-Greaves said: “We believe these two crimes are linked and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the areas to contact police.

“In particular, we’d like to hear from anyone who has been offered the trailers for sale or who has information about where they are.

“We’re carrying out extensive enquiries and would like to reassure people that we continue to work hard to tackle thieves and burglars in the area.”
