NetPosse Website - Maximizing Visibility for Missing Horses

NetPosse Website - Maximizing Visibility for Missing Horses

02 August 2024

SOCIAL MEDIA vs. WEBSITE: Victims often question why they should have a report on our website and not just on social media platforms. Let's look at a few facts that show why having a presence on a website is a vital part of a victim's plan to find their horses or animals.

There's a common misconception that posting on Facebook or any social medium guarantees visibility to everyone. In reality, this couldn't be further from the truth. The sheer volume of content on these platforms often means your post gets lost in the shuffle.

Websites are the superior choice when you want to establish a robust online presence for a business, or in our case, our NetPosse Reports. When you search for a product on the web, the first page is predominantly filled with websites rather than social media accounts. This underscores the importance of a solid online presence and the indirect trust and favor that search engines place on websites over social media accounts.

Social media can help reach a target audience. A website allows companies to reach a broader audience and potentially attract new people to see the information on the website that would never see social media posts.

Visibility: A website can be more easily found in Google search results, increasing the company's visibility and our NetPosse Reports.

When it comes to providing detailed information, a website is the clear winner. It allows us to present our NetPosse Reports with comprehensive details about the horses, flyers, and updates. In contrast, social media has limitations on the amount of information that can be shared, making it less than ideal for presenting essential details about the horses for long-term visibility and searchability.

One key advantage of a website is content ownership and control. Unlike social media platforms that can disappear or change their policies, our nonprofit organization has full control over the content we publish on our website and its intellectual property. This means that once your report is on our website and in good standing, it is searchable forever, even if we change websites.

Why is our website connected to our social media platforms? Connecting a company's website to their social media is a good practice. There are several reasons why this is beneficial:

Facilitates Access to Social Media: When links to social media are included on the website, it is easier for website visitors to find and follow the NetPosse Alerts and announcements on social media.

Increases Brand Visibility: By including links to social media, we can increase the brand visibility of our NetPosse Alerts and flyers online. This can lead to more website traffic and social media shares for the victims.

Helps Build an Online Community: By connecting our website to social media, we can foster visitor engagement and build a strong online community around our NetPosse Alerts. This not only keeps our audience informed but also makes them feel part of a larger, supportive community.
