Ok everyone now that Missy is comfy in her stall I guess it is story time! last night me and my mom were talking on the phone about Missy and she came up with the idea to walk through the woods right next to the house and just listen and see if I could hear anything. So this morning I got up and checked facebook, sent some messages and out the door I went. I walked where my accident occurred and just started wandering. (when I found her I was kinda lost) I walked up into the pines and around and around those dang woods and was about ready to give up and go home when I stumbled on a deer path. So I figured "what the heck I am right here I might as well go" so I followed the deer path to the very first nasty four wheeler trail and walked across that to yet another deer path. Now mind you I never saw ONE hoof print on these trails. So I walked into the block of woods off the path and looked up and there she was! This eerie calm feel upon me (the same I feel when I head up the alley on Missy to the first barrel) and I just started talking real low and quiet just telling her I was here and I wasn't leaving. And also praying to my guardian angel who helped me find her!! As I neared her she looked up at me and just gave me this look and nickered softly and came to me. I slipped a lead around her neck as she had taken her bridle off and started to walk out. I called my mom and then Duane Orzolek to come help me as she wasn't in no hurry to leave and Duane came first and we made it to a creek where she drank and drank and drank. Duane went to go get the pony to try to get her to leave cuz she wasn't going anywhere. When he left she looked at me and followed me out of the woods on the same path that we went in together. Now she is munching on some hay, drank some water and little George is so ecstatic!!! My little girl is home. We went in one week ago today as partners and we walked out of that woods as partners both healthy and sound. Love you Grandpa! Thanks for helping me find her! you watch out for us and every barrel race and you watched out for us this past week! I will always love you!! RIP ♥ — feeling blessed.
