Lykens PA - A Millersburg, PA man never expected the unexpected the trailer being pulled by his horse and buggy broke down on the side of the road. An alleged thief stopped and took approximately $2,000 worth of items from the trailer Thursday morning.
The alleged theft occurred in the area of Route 25 and Crossroads Road in Lykens Twp.
State police said, The 35-year-old victim was traveling east on Route 25 when the trailer behind his horse and buggy became loose.
The victim left the trailer unattended in an open field and he returned later to find that several items were missing from inside.
They included various types of batteries, automobile fuse holders and battery clamps. The property was valued at approximately $2,112, according to state police.
