FULTONHAM, NY. (WTEN) - 22 thoroughbred jumping horses were lost in the floods from Irene. Their owner is now searching, trying to find out what happened to them.
Water is still flowing over the pastures that his 22 Grand Prix Thoroughbred Jumping Horses once roamed. He says he watched helpless from his home on the hill as the river rose around his farm, knowing the herd he spent more than a decade cultivating was in danger.
