PENNSDALE – The word that comes to mind for Ted Baker when talking about the shooting death of his 19-year-old horse that he considered a member of the family is barbaric.
The resident of Lycoming County is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the individual or individuals who shot and killed the horse, named Romeo, between 8 and 8:30 a.m. on January 3 in a field on his property in the Pennsdale area.
The state trooper investigating the incident told the owner that it appears the shot came from a high-powered rifle. The bullet went through both hind legs. Sadly though the vet had to euthanize the horse.
