IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Stolen Horse International Announces New Quick Alert System
At Stolen Horse International (NetPosse), our mission has always been to support victims of missing, lost, and stolen equines, as well as those searching for an old friend, by providing prompt and practical assistance. Over 28 years, we've built a trusted network and a system of alerts that have helped reunite countless horses with their owners.

Now, we're making a crucial change in the way we conduct business for our victims.

Introducing the Quick Alert System
We are thrilled to introduce our Quick Alert System, a revolutionary tool designed to enhance the visibility of alerts and make it easier for victims to get the attention they need on our main Facebook page. This system, built on our trusted network and alert system, will now enable the person filing the information and our followers to disseminate the information. The people filing the Quick Access Alerts will not have access to the NetPosse network, which often obtains thousands of views and shares, for sharing these alerts.

Here's how it works:

Instead of victims filing reports on our website for the traditional NetPosse Alert, they will now be able to post their own alerts on Stolen Horse International's Facebook page via the Quick Access tool on our website at www.netposse.com.

Stolen Horse International will create and post the alert directly on our main Facebook page: Stolen Horse International – NetPosse Missing and Stolen Equine, based on the information submitted in the Quick Access tool.

The information shared will be the exact details that victims would normally post themselves or have already posted on social media, but now it will come directly from Stolen Horse International, thus helping victims reach a broader audience.

These Quick alerts will not be vetted, shared, or assisted in any way after the post is made. It is entirely on the person posting and our followers to share the content. Stolen Horse International will not share these unverified alerts with our network and notes that these alerts may or may not be as claimed in the posts. We will rely on the public to inform us when shared content may not be as accurately noted.

What's Changing
The Quick Alert System is a new addition to our report system, and differs from the traditional NetPosse Alerts network. The old reporting system will remain available on our website at www.netposse.com until September 26, 2025, but at a higher fee. In the past, these NetPosse Alerts, the base report, and additional add-ons included:

  • Hosting on our website
  • Google indexing for search visibility
  • Searchable reports
  • Printable flyer on every report
  • Sharing of NetPosse Alerts to various social media outlets
  • Official NetPosse alerts sent through our network
  • Additional outreach efforts managed by our team
  • Press Releases
  • Consulting
  • And, much more.

While these features have been valuable, the time, funding, and resources required to maintain them have become increasingly difficult to sustain due to a decline in donations and volunteers since the pandemic.

Why the Change?
For years, we have asked for more volunteers to help with the daily, daunting tasks required to run this organization. Unfortunately, the response has not been enough to meet the growing demand. At the same time, fundraising has not provided the level of financial support needed to continue offering all of our programs in their original form.

The Quick Alert System enables us to continue serving victims in a faster, more efficient, and sustainable manner for a small fee of $10.

By implementing the Quick Alert System, we can continue to provide crucial exposure for missing and stolen equines in a more streamlined and efficient manner. This new system allows us to focus our limited resources and volunteers where they are most needed, ensuring that we can continue our mission effectively.

Moving Forward Together
We understand that this change may be significant, but our dedication to victims remains unwavering. Our goal is to continue bringing horses home and providing hope during challenging times. The Quick Alert System is a crucial step in ensuring that Stolen Horse International can uphold its mission for years to come.
