Sometime late Saturday night and early Sunday morning the flood gates were opened up with no notice and a flash flood was created sweeping everything in its’ path north via the river. The water when the flash flood settled was 10 ft deep. Leland Neff has 150 acres on his farm and his horses were in a 90 acre pasture. Currently, 22 are still missing. Horses are mares and their babies ranging in ages from 19 years to 3 months old and a few young stallions and his prize Stallion, Prince. He still has four horses on his property that survived and were found Sunday morning next to his home.
Without power, a computer or even candles Leland I generated a list with photos and videos of his horses from my computer in Suffolk, VA and sent to Netposse.com which helps with missing and stolen equines.
