The Rusk County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on two stolen horses.
The horses were taken from a residence on FM 1241 E. in the Church Hill area of the county, sometime on Feb. 25 or 26, according to Viki Penny, public information officer with the Rusk County Sheriff's Office..
The owner discovered a gate in the southwest pasture had been removed by sliding the gate off the hinges. He then discovered two gelded horses were missing from the pasture, Penny said.
One of the missing horses is Chaco, a black Tennessee Walker with a white star on his face. Chaco is 15 hands tall and weighs about 1,100 pounds. The other horse is Sonny, a Sorrel Quarter Horse with a white blazed face. Sonny is 16 hands tall, weighs about 1,250 pounds and is blind in his right eye.
Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts of these horses is asked to call Rusk County Crime Stoppers at 903-655-8477 or The Rusk County Sheriff's Office at 903-657-3581.
