Stolen Horse International, also known as NetPosse.com, is extremely happy to announce a major success story!
On January 23, 2017, Dixie Fried, also known as 'Reno', was recovered thanks to the dedicated NetPosse Auction Watch Volunteers. Reno had been stolen on May 23, 2012, from his pasture in Nelson, Missouri.
Reno's owners, Preston & Donna, searched for nearly five years for their horse. The dedicated volunteers and supporters of Stolen Horse International, Inc. (NetPosse.com) played a crucial role in the recovery.
When Preston & Donna had nearly given up hope, the organization's Report Manager called to share a possible match, highlighting the critical importance of the volunteers in achieving this success.
The Auction Watch Group found a video of a horse at an auction in Texas on January 4, 2017, that appeared to be a close match to Reno. The horse was scheduled to be shipped on January 7, 2017.
After contacting Reno's owner and sending the video from the auction and accompanying photos, the organization used its verification process to confirm the horse was indeed Reno, ensuring transparency and trust throughout the process.
On January 23, 2017, Reno's owners traveled ten hours to Texas, where they were finally able to see their horse again after four years and eight months. The organization encourages everyone to share this happy story to help raise awareness and encourage others to support its mission.
Stolen Horse International is thrilled for the owners and wishes them many years of happiness with Reno. Learn how you can support future recoveries by volunteering or donating at NetPosse.com.
A special thank you goes out to the NetPosse Auction Watch Volunteers for their efforts in bringing Reno home.
