STOLEN Horse - Hope
#8991 | 20 May 2026
Name: Rainy Remedy
Gender: Mare
Species: Horse
Breed: Quarter Horse
Description: Rainy Remedy " AQHA Registered Bay Mare
Rainy Remedy is a 21-year-old AQHA-registered mare standing over 16 hands tall. She is a solid bay with no white markings, giving her a classic, refined appearance. Her mane naturally lies to the left, with the exception of the last three inches near her withers, which fall to the right, and she has a lighter forelock.
Rainy Remedy is currently managed for arthritis and Cushing’s disease. She exhibits a noticeable pop in her right hip at the walk due to arthritis and is maintained on firocoxib for joint support. She is also on Prascend as part of her Cushing’s management plan.
She would be best suited for a home that understands her maintenance needs and can provide the ongoing care she requires to remain comfortable and healthy.
Our barbed-wire fence was discovered cut at the northwest corner of the property sometime between late May 19, 2026, and before dawn on May 20, 2026. The exact time of the incident is unknown.
At the scene, hoof prints were found immediately outside the fence line; however, they disappeared shortly afterward, and no further trackable evidence has been identified. The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office was contacted, and Detective Melton has been assigned to the case and is currently investigating. We also reported the incident to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture.
For approximately two weeks leading up to the incident, Tulsa County road crews had been working in our area, with a notable presence on that specific road. While we are not placing blame on any individuals, it is possible that workers in the area may have witnessed someone taking an interest in our horses or observed suspicious activity. We have attempted to contact Tulsa County District 2 multiple times to request assistance or information, but to date, we have not received any return calls.
