Horse Missing from Greensboro, NC, Needs Your Help

On June 19, 2024, a horse named Lil Mis Mischief went missing from Journey Back Stables at 5046 Groometown Rd, Greensboro, NC. The owner, Patti Sifton-Munro, is deeply concerned about her 22-year-old Bay Thoroughbred mare, born in Ontario, Canada. Mischief, who disappeared on Monday, June 17 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., is dearly loved by her owner and is considered part of the family.

Patti has taken to social media and reached out to organizations like Stolen Horse International in hopes of finding her beloved horse. Mischief is not just a horse; she is a part of Patti's family and has a significant history as a racehorse and a broodmare. Patti's desperate search has led her to file a "Missing Horse" report with Stolen Horse International and reach out to the community for any information or sightings.

Since her disappearance, Mischief has not been seen in the area, leading to fears about her whereabouts and well-being and even wondering if she has died. Patti is particularly worried about Mischief's safety and is calling for assistance from the community to locate her.

To aid in the search for Mischief, Stolen Horse International has issued a NetPosse Alert, urging people to share information and Mischief's visual flyer in public places. It is also possible that not all potential helpers are active on the internet, so spreading the word offline is crucial. The local Sheriff's Department is involved in the search, and people are encouraged to reach out to Detective Jarvis with any relevant information.

Patti is asking for the community's support and urges anyone who may have seen Mischief or has relevant information to provide assistance.

Updates on Mischief can be found on her webpage, and she can be contacted at 416-587-9567 or psifton.munro@gmail.com. Detective Jarvis of the Guilford County Sheriff's Department can be reached at (336) 641-4686, and Mischief's Case # is 240617-013. Additionally, those willing to help can search for NETPOSSE ID #8306 on the provided website.

"Stolen Horse International and its programs can be found at www.netposse.org. Stolen Horse International is a Section 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code. With 27 years of operation, the NetPosse Alert is referred to as the horse industry's "Amber Alert." Stolen Horse International

JUST IN: SAD UPDATE from Mischief's owner and Detective Jarvis… he’s going over to the farm to confirm as we speak… apparently, the police went back yesterday afternoon to search the farm again and found her dead in a blackberry thicket between Groometown Rd & Cimmaron Rd. Joan was out delivering flyers and didn’t answer her phone they left a message for her to call back.
