And they melt into puddles at the pleas for help from those photos showing skeletal animals, horrible sores, and sad eyes. They should-they need help. 

We know of another group though that very few are helping-the victims of horse theft and the stolen horses themselves. There's also people who have horses disappear for all sorts of reasons-broken breeding contracts, board bill unpaid for months, horse sent to trainer and sold to pay bill, ownership disputes by business partners, family members, or perhaps in divorces, or maybe a lease or adoption agreement that was broken. 

These people and horses go through a horrible, terrible emotional trauma-and the horses frequently will come back "changed" drastically-they're distant, scared of everything, no longer trust, will have lost a lot of weight, sometimes even their coat color will change somewhat, and they'll start kicking and biting. They both need help. Neither one understands what the other went through and the after effects are just devastating. 

There's also people who have a horse that bolts on a trail ride, jumps a fence and runs for the hills, spooked by a horse-eating rock and they need help looking. Or a disaster happens and fences are down and nobody knows where their horses are.  

All these people need compassionate people wiling to spend some time to learn how to navigate the Internet and social media to assist these people in recovering their horses if possible. We need people who can remain calm and professional while working with all kinds of people in stressful situations. It is rewarding, interesting, and very different from anything you've ever done before.
