Neighbor Spots Missing Horse Due to NetPosse Alert

The following account serves as a powerful testimonial to the vital work performed by Stolen Horse International (also known as NetPosse.com). This story demonstrates how their efforts to widely disseminate information and photographs of missing horses can yield direct, tangible results in the recovery process, often due to the vigilance of community members who recognize the shared information.

Thank you for the fantastic work you do; you are providing an excellent service.

A few years ago (within the last five, the exact year escapes me), you posted a missing horse photo—a beautiful paint, I believe—jumping a jump in a park setting.

Coincidentally, my shady next-door neighbor suddenly had a horse in her back pasture that looked just like the one in your post. I went outside and was very obvious about taking pictures of it.

Within hours, my neighbor approached me, claiming her friend had found the horse walking down the street without a halter.

The very next day, my neighbor notified the owner, who came to pick up the horse and even offered my neighbor a $500 reward.

Please keep doing what you are doing and don't get discouraged. I haven't spoken to that neighbor in over two years, but I still keep my phone handy for photos!

Stolen Horse International is incredibly grateful for vigilant individuals like this neighbor. It is the power of sharing NetPosse Alerts and the community keeping their eyes open for matching horses that makes these happy recoveries possible.
