Per our adoption contract, adopters agree to allow us to conduct periodic visits and also agree to not sell/give away/send to slaughter their adopted horse. Precious Petunia was adopted to an individual/family in Waco, Texas.
In January 2022, we reached out to Precious Petunia's adopter to schedule a routine visit. They refused to return calls, emails, or letters. We tried for several months to make contact and resolve this before reporting her as missing.
Precious Petunia came to Bluebonnet from a neglect case where her dam starved to death. She was born in 2020 and is a grade horse. She was reported to be a Standardbred cross and does appear to rack at times in pasture.
We make a promise to the horses we take in to watch out for them for life, and we would like to keep that promise to Precious Petunia. If she's with a new family, we don't want to take her away, we simply want to get new adoption paperwork on her and be here to support her and her family.
Precious Petunia is a 2020, grade, gaited (racks occasionally in pasture) filly. She was adopted to a family in Waco, Texas in November 2021 and last seen in early 2022.
