Operators of a horseback riding program for children are hoping the public can help them recover two horses allegedly stolen from a Christian camp facility last month.
Tiffany Gardner, head horse wrangler for Camp El Har, a children’s camp and retreat center operated by the Assembly of God in Dallas, Texas, said that on Jan. 31 she discovered two of the facility’s 10 horses missing when the animals did not come in from their pasture to be fed. The missing animals--two 9-year-old Quarter Horse mares named Finally Got Zipped and Blaze--were used to teach children to ride, she said.
