MAY 18, 2012 - The owner of a stolen horse has made a fresh appeal in the Manchester Evening News for information one year after the Spirit's disappearance.
Spirit, an eight-year-old gelding, was taken from his field in Carrington during the night in May of 2011. A Facebook campaign backed by 9,000 people combined wiht the help of Stolen Horse International to find him has not turned up the horse.
"We are happy to work with Lisa on through our facebook, Stolen Horse International Inc. aka NetPosse.com and hers. Both are very valuable tools in the search for a horse," says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International.
Lisa, 29, from Cheadle Hulme, says in the Manchester News article, "People have sent me web links to adverts for horses for sale saying they look like Spirit but they’re not him.
"It is sad that Spirit has not been found yet but we never give up searching and we never give up hope here at NetPosse.com. Since this new website was launched in February of 2011 we have had over 8 million page views on the site. It is our hope that day the right person may come in and view Spirit."
