Wandering Burro Home for the Holidays

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (AP) - A mischievous burro that's been wandering the Spotsylvania Court House battlefield since May is headed home to her owner.
National Park Service Ranger Chuck Lockhart says that Sidekick finally ambled into a spring-loaded pen sometime Thursday.
Lockhart says that despite her many months on the run, Sidekick appeared to be fine - describing her as "none the worse for wear."
Lockhart called Sidekick's worried owner, Glenna Tompkins, with the good news. Tompkins, who has since moved from Spotsylvania to Louisa County, was planning to haul Sidekick home Thursday night.
Lockhart is relieved that the battlefield's most elusive visitor is finally saying goodbye, because the search for the wayward animal has consumed quite a bit of his time.
The ranger said he has let several people - including a donkey whisperer, know about the search's happy ending.
Lockhart says Sidekick "had her own following."
