Don't know what the little bay stallion named Barney has, but he apparently has something that more than one person wants in New Zealand.
The news reports are sketchy as to why he was impounded - twice - but he was. This last time, he had found a new owner who was coming to pick him up the next day.
Now this was not the first time the impound had been broken into and a horse taken. There had been one other instance earlier. But this is the SECOND time someone has taken Barney. After both of the other break-ins, measures had been taken to "beef up" the perimeter. So the thieves chopped down a fence post.
We'd love to know more about Barney and what makes him so very attractive to thieves - or if there is another motive here.
