Tammy Bailey Patton
Born and raised in Kentucky, Tammy Patton was destined to love horses. She began barrel racing at a young age and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture specializing in Animal Health. After college, Tammy spent more than 20 years traveling as part of a military family before settling outside of Kansas City.
In 2026, when Tammy fulfilled her youngest child’s dream of owning a horse, she never imagined that decision would lead her into a devastating journey as a victim of horse theft. What followed was a six-month ordeal marked by deception, relentless searching, and ultimately a hard-won recovery that changed her life—and her mission.
At the Horse Lovers Summit Seminars, Tammy will share:
How she became the victim of horse theft
How the perpetrator manipulated and misled her for six months
The steps she took to locate and recover her horse
The condition her horse was in when she was finally found
Why an arrest has still not been made
What she is doing to prevent others from being victimized
Why horse owners must unite to push for stronger laws, including eliminating jurisdictional barriers
Tammy’s story is one of heartbreak, determination, and the urgent need for change. Her session will educate, empower, and inspire horse owners to better protect their horses—and to stand together in the fight against equine theft.
