MISSING EQUINE Thunder and Wonz S, Near Zwolle, LA, 71486

NetPosse Report ID # : 874 (833)
Description : These 2 horses were last seen on May 28th, 2003 when they were fed by children eating watermelon. The Pasture behind us containing 112 acres was opened and owned by a friend joined our 45 acres and so we opened the gate so that they could go and come as they pleased. THe horses failed to appear on evening for their feeding so we just assumed that they had plenty to eat and would come up the next evening. Well when they didn't show up I called authorities and it took a couple of days to contact us but the branding commissioner for the state of LA did come and file the report. He then went to the local feed store in which we have always purchased our feed from and the GOOD friend who owns the land behind us and a bunch of men were sitting around gossiping when he arrived and one of the men JOKINGLY said "Oh I bet Paul Eddie (my husband and owner of one of the horses)sold them horses. The man didn't think the commissioner was going to take him seriously. Well he did and he informed me that my husband sold the horses "WITHOUT PROOF" and refused to do an investigation. My husband and I both have been looking for these horses for 3 yrs and 1 month and sometimes we want to give up but I feel in my heart they are alive. The older horse was on our place since he was 2 yrs old. He will be 14 this Nov. He lived here for 9 yrs. He is like a family member. THe other horse was purchased just 3 months prior to their disappearance. I wasn't attached to the arabian like I was the Appols. My Stepdaughter was the true owner of the app. When he was bought she was his carekeeper his rider and she showed him in a couple of shows until she grew older and became less interested. We have no clue how these horses just walked out of our pasture. There was no tracks no cut fences so we my husband and I believe it was someone local and maybe even really close to have known that we both were at work and that both of my daughters were not at their homes which was just up the street. This is a really rural area and everyone in the neighborhood is kin to each other including my husband so it is really hard to believe that NO ONE SAW ANY ONE IN MY PASTURE.
