A retired racehorse was posted for sale on Facebook on 7-12-18. The horse was posted on ‘Southern California Horses for Sale & Lease’ for $500. Several concerned individuals posted comments that this horse could end up in a bad situation. A retired racehorse non-profit attempted to reach out to the seller to offer to help the horse and provide long-term follow-up to ensure that he received the care he needed. The seller declined and insisted that she had found a good home and he was sold. Several people in the California OTTB community and some aftercare programs are concerned about the welfare of this horse and want to confirm that he is safe.
