Incident Details

Incident Date:
9/17/2017
Location:
Zebulon (Franklin County), NC, 27858, USA
On 9/17, I went to the individual's property where I entered a trade deal with her. I felt Roman was young and needed more riding than I was able to do. She said she was looking for a horse for her son, he had a horse that was more laid back for me and she told me Roman would be perfect for her son. I met her son, he liked Roman so I felt comfortable with the deal. We had a verbal agreement that if for any reason, she was not happy with Roman, we would trade back no problem. Less than 48 hrs later, I get a text from her staying she is selling Roman because he supposedly kicked her. I said I would be there to pick Roman up immediately and we would just trade back, the original deal. She said NO, she needed $1,000 from me. I told her NO, that wasn't the deal. She said take her to court which I did and WON. The judge awarded me my horse back; however, this woman claims to have sold him.
