I allowed a transporter (hauler) to move my horse to the property of a former Morgan breeder, with a conditional verbal agreement in place. Less than a week later, I asked for his return due to fears that he may be sold instead of offered sanctuary, as we agreed. The other party refused even though I never transferred ownership in writing. She has since moved the horse from her property and refuses to disclose his whereabouts, and is now denying my ownership rights. I have consulted an equine specialist attorney, and she has advised me to file suit. I have sent a demand letter for his return.
