On 5/13/17 I bailed # 188 Roany the Pony from a kill auction in New Jersey. An individual offered to foster Roany, and promised to " rehab, retrain, and re-home the pony to a good home. She also agreed that when my rescue pony was "ready" to be re-homed, the Buyer would be required to sign a contract agreeing " NO auctions, NO kill auctions, and I would have the right of first refusal" if the new owners sold the pony. Approximately three weeks later she simply sold Roany, and kept the cash. On 8/21/17, in front of the New York State Police, she stated she sold " Roany the Pony" 'to a " good home" in Massachusetts despite not having ownership papers to the pony, or supplying the required contract to the Buyer or me. She has refused to provide me a copy of the sales contract, or advise me who she sold Roany to, or how she "disposed" of him. My concern is for the safety of " Roany the Pony", and proof of his current location. I would like to verify he is in a "good home" and being cared for properly, and receive a copy of the sales contract (if any) supplied to the Buyer. It is my understanding the first Buyers resold Roany shortly after purchasing him. If so, the name of the second Buyer, or Auction and date when he was resold is being requested. The Buyers and/or Informants are hereby released from any liability for cooperating with the requested information, and a " $ 500.00 REWARD " is being offered for the return of Roany, or the requested information is supplied and I can verify that Roany is "safe", or if verification he was dropped off at another sales auction prior to 10/01/17. Roany was reported to the New York Attorney General's Office as a "stolen horse" on 9/6/17.
