Incident Details

Incident Date:
4/8/2017
Location:
Phillipsburg (Dallas County), MO, 65722, USA

When we went to bed at 1030PM both of our mares were eating side by side in the front yard. When our girls went outside to catch their horses to be loaded Copper was no where to be found. We searched for several hrs, there are no breaks in the fence and both watergaps are intact. We are certain if she would have gotten out of the fence then she would have been in the back pasture with our other 3 horses with whom she has spent the past year with. We did file a report with the local sheriffs department. There was also a rodeo in town that night.

From Tim McDermott's Facebook post on 4/10/17: To those who have been helping share our post about copper we wanted to let you know that she returned back into the pasture sometime yesterday or last night. We're not sure when she came back as we walked that whole pasture yesterday and did not find her anywhere. Her hind legs or cut up pretty badly so obviously she jumped the fence. We just wanted to say thank you for your efforts and sharing our post and helping us attempts to locate copper.
