Incident Details

Incident Date:
Barton (orleans County), VT, 05822, USA

Owner: "Searching for a horse I last owned in 2008." Seaside Charlie aka Charlie aka Jack is black Percheron gelding and by all indications has had a busy and well traveled life. Charlie's owner is seeking his whereabouts so that he can come home to rest and live out his days! Charlie was sold in 2008 to a job with Mounted Patrol out of Houston, TX. Since then the trail has led to many states and numerous jobs for Charlie. Recently the owner has learned of the many jobs and states and also concerns of Charlie's health. There are indications that he has been to MD, VA, back to MD and possibly OH. That he has been owned by the Amish and used as a plow horse, been in a Kill Pen at  Auction (at least once) and rescued from there became a school horse at American Academy of Equestrian Sciences at a farm in Virginia where it is indicated he developed a heart condition and was then retired and delivered to a farm in LaPlatta MD as a pasture mate. Sources have indicated from research that approx. 2014 the farm was found abandoned and neighbors offered that it had been vacant for a year (2 drafts, 2 Llamas and a couple of minis) had been moved a month prior to the owner leaving to possibly OH. And Charlie's trail has gone cold from there.
