Location:

I noticed Tigger's feeder was still full of hay and went to look for him. Tigger would never leave behind a feeder full of hay or leave the area. The few times he has ever gotten out, he was always found standing by the hay pile. I found the back gate cut, tire tracks from a vehicle turning around by the gate and horse tracks that appear to have been circling a horse before loading in a trailer. Tracks go in a half circle, pivot at a 90 degree angle and then go then straight forward for a few feet before disappearing. The local Sheriffs department would only give us a case # for a missing horse as they say there is not enough evidence to support him being stolen.

1/6/17 - Raine Brown notified us that Tigger had been found. They received a call from someone in the area who informed them that Tigger was on the hillside by his house. Due to the circumstances and lack of injury, it is felt that he was taken and someone dumped him in the area yesterday. Where he was, he would have crossed at least 4 barbwire fences if he got there on his own. He is in perfect condition, maybe even a little fatter than when he left, and not a scratch on him. His hooves appear to have been rasped as they are also shaped better than when he left.

It was fully dark by the time Raine's husband was able to catch him. There is no way he was on that mountain for 3 weeks, with snow and is in the shape he is. They hiked that hill many times and there were no horse tracks. Even yesterday when Dustin got to him there were hardly any tracks.....Just thankful he is back and healthy.
