Description : On Dec. 5, 2012, I dropped off 2 miniature horses and a [solid sorrel] paint mare, TRIXIE (Triple Paradise), to a woman (contact owner for name) in Kenly for consignment sale. We had a Verbal Agreement that she would sell all 3 horses for me while I moved away to Canada. The terms of the consignment were: A) I leave a check with the woman of $200.00 for the cost of grain during their stay. B) I would set prices of horses, negotiate and she would take a 10% commission fee out of each sale. (summary by NetPosse) Over the next few months, owner upheld her end of agreement, but other party did not. Colleen dropped off horses' papers. Woman declared she'd sold minis but never produced bill or sale nor did Colleen sign over legal ownership. Payment was less than agreed and delivered to ex-husband. On May 6 2013, woman declared the paint mare sold for $900 to man (contact Colleen for name) in Dunn, NC, and Colleen was given the trainer's name. All of this could have been fabricated. Again, Colleen never legally changes ownership of the horse. For months, other party claims to have sent check but it never arrives and then other party states they have to get a lawyer involved. In Sept. 2013, other party blocks Colleen on Facebook, Email, and phone. She refuses all contact, including at her home. This person has allegedly stolen horses and tack. She's traded lame horses and doesn't disclose all information. She also owes many vets in the area; they have all sent her to collections.
