NetPosse Report ID # : 190 (395)
Description : Sun, 1 Jan 2006 12:32:13 -0500 -- I don't have a police report number yet. We have to get the list of all the tack that was stolen to the officers. We will finish that today.
Our shop was broken into through a hole where an air conditioner was installed. They had brought their vehicle into our pasture which is behind our shop and carried the saddles through our pasture to the waiting vehicle. They had to remove boards in our pasture to get their vehicle in (in 2 spots). They also damaged their vehicle when doing this. They didn't fit in between the posts and broke out a window in their vehicle. there was glass laying in 2 places in the pasture and the riding ring.
The saddles that were stolen were Western, English (both close contact and all-purpose), 2 Australian stock (1 with horn, 1 without) and a new combo western endurance.
There may be scratches on some of the larger saddles since they would be hard to get through a hole that was only 2 1/2' wide and 1 1/2' tall. We're pretty sure that it was a horse person. They knew what they wanted and that was saddles, girths and strap goods. They didn't touch our cash register, and also didn't take anything else in the shop. They even took the saddles into a room filled with gift items and nothing was missing, or else not much. so they had an agenda.
