Incident Details

Incident Date:
3/20/2010
Location:
Amarillo (Potter County), TX, 00000, USA
Horse was given to a woman in Alvin, TX for a trial period in March 2010. Her husband then shipped the horse to Amarillo, TX 2 weeks after he arrived at their home. Have not heard anything on the horses location and through repeated contact via email to the woman am not getting any returned correspondence regarding the welfare and location of the horse. He has a medical condition that was disclosed to her and we are very concerned. If the horse did not work out on the trial period he was to be returned to us. The horse was not under any circumstances to reside anywhere except for Alvin, TX.

Thank You Netposse for helping me recover my baby!

Hello,

It is so surreal. My boy not only was found but is returning to us Friday this week. I cannot believe he is real and that I truly was looking at a picture of my beloved Pepper again when a friend went to visit him for me today. She texted the pictures, my heart stopped and I had goosebumps, started crying with joy. It has been a long two years without him. It is wonderful that you do what you do. If not for Netposse I'd never have recovered my boy.

Thanks so much,

Tara Dennington

Hi Debi,

We actually found Pepper through sending the Netposse ad to people all over FB. It was shared with enough people to finally reach the right one -- a friend of mine actually knew someone who lived where we found evidence he was shipped in 2010. A friend of mine is going to college up at West Texas A&M and he was right underneath her nose, unbelievably, just being 4 minutes down the road from the place her horses are boarded. He will be picked up Thursday this week and arrive sometime on Friday. I cannot wait!

Thanks so much once again. I'd NEVER have found him if a friend of a friend hadn't seen this flyer! I mentioned the person who stole him saying something about him being used in a parade and it lead us to the Sheriff's Posse. Apparently he was boarded at a place owned by a member of said Posse.
