The mission of SHI is to provide a comprehensive theft awareness and identification program to all facets of the horse industry and offer educational opportunities for horse enthusiasts of all types and across all disciplines. SHI helps victims recover horses that are missing through the NetPosse volunteer network. Programs: education and resources about equine identification, the prevention, and security of owner’s horses, barns, stables, farms, homes, and trailers; and, in the event of theft, to provide counseling and resources to aid in the most effective and efficient recovery possible of their equine, tack, or equipment.
