Description: STOLEN HORSES: Charlie and a senior sorrel gelding were stolen from an enclosure off FM Market Road 1416 in Newton County, Texas. Thieves cut a 5-wire perimeter fence and led both horses away together. These two senior horses have spent years safely babysitting kids and earned their peaceful retirement. They are deeply missed by the children they belong to, and the family is desperately seeking any information that leads to their safe return.
Please keep an eye out for these two distinct horses, who are likely still together:
- Charlie: An elderly gelding with noticeable arthritic knees. He has two blue eyes and no teeth, which causes his tongue to hang out of his mouth.
- You may see Charlie with a Sorrel Gelding: A senior, reddish-brown horse featuring a distinct "Rafter P" brand (PÌ‚) on his shoulder.If you live in the Newton County area or see anyone attempting to transport, shelter, or sell these horses, please contact the owners or local law enforcement immediately.

Last Seen & Incident Details
Last Confirmed Feeding: Monday morning, August 24th.
Timeline of Disappearance: A local commuter spotted what may have been the horses on Tuesday, August 25th at 7:00 AM, but they were gone by 9:00 AM. (Note: 50 head of cattle share the pasture, so early morning visibility was limited.
Method of Theft: Thieves deliberately cut all 5 strands of a wire fence in a far corner of the property. A pile of bait feed was left on the ground where they lured the horses away.
Critical Medical Notes
Both horses suffer from soundness and joint issues. They require daily specialized supplements and medications every single morning to remain pain-free and comfortable.

Check your game cameras or security footage from Monday night (Aug 24) through Tuesday morning (Aug 25).
