According to available evidence, the suspects gained access to the property by cutting the chain securing a rear gate with what appeared to be a portable saw or grinder. After entering the property, they removed Mamba from his corral and led him into a large lot located behind the property.

The suspects then exited on foot with the horse onto Eucalyptus Drive, where they crossed to the opposite side of the street and entered a gated trailer park community. Security camera footage captured a black 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss, California license plate 31237F4, waiting near the entrance to the community.

Video evidence reportedly shows the driver of the black pickup truck entering an access code to open the gate and enter the community. Two additional individuals, one of whom was leading the horse, followed the truck inside. The suspects remained within the gated community for approximately 25 minutes before leaving, with the truck exiting first and the individuals leading the horse following a few seconds later.

Investigators believe the suspects may have remained inside the community to avoid detection until transportation for the horse arrived. An eyewitness reported seeing an orange Ford Raptor pulling a horse trailer stop across the street from the witness's residence. Mamba was reportedly loaded into the trailer, which then backed onto Eucalyptus Drive and traveled west toward the intersection of Fairfax Road and Eucalyptus Drive, as captured by additional security camera footage.

Mamba is registered with KFPS and is microchipped, providing important identifying information that may assist in his recovery.
