Description: He, Jaxon, is a standard donkey and not registered. I bought him young, and he was rescued from a kill pen in Texas, then taken to Casa Grande, AZ. I got him from that person. He was meant to be a friend to my Shetland pony.
When I became ill, I wanted them to go to good homes, so I paid a $1,000 fee to a rescue in Reno. Because of bad weather, a local young person near Phoenix was hired to pick them up. After she received the donkey and horse, and the rescue had my money, they ghosted me, and the transporter wanted to keep the pony.
I told them many times I did not want them separated. The girl who transported only wanted the pony but assured me she had a wonderful home for the donkey. This was in December 2023. I later found out that the person who had the donkey was a serial hoarder who had been previously arrested for that. She moved to another county and started hoarding animals again. In April of this year, I managed to have the state remove all her equines from her property, and despite her telling the woman who sold her the donkey that she still had him and sending old pictures, she no longer has him. On Monday, I saw my post with a comment from a rescuer in that area, who thinks the donkey was sold to someone in New Mexico, but she hasn’t responded to me by phone, text, or Facebook, so I don't know how she learned about this. The white standard donkey, Jaxon, is about seven years old and all white.
