Description: This case begins in Ireland, where the owner in Ireland reported to Stolen Horse International that Currinara Diamond Tiara was taken from a pasture in Sligo, Ireland. Police in Ireland have traced the horse to have been transported to the United States, and the person who had or has the horse is in Florida. The horse's name was changed to Lioness. She has been shown in jumping competitions in the USA. We will refer to Tiara as Lioness.
Her name, Currinara Diamond Tiara, had been changed to Lioness 5916427. Lioness is a bay, 16-hand mare, believed to have last been seen in jumping competitions in Florida. She has a microchip, which is how she was identified when arriving in the USA. She is registered with HSI, and the microchip ends with 9751. She was born on February 14, 2018.
The Garda Department and Irish police know the horse was located at the stables in Boniconlon, Co. Mayo. Two individuals from the transport company can confirm that Tiara and another horse were transported to the farm in Tubbercurry. Subsequently, she traveled to Northern Ireland, was shipped from Dublin to Holland, and then to the U.S.A.
Tiara, also known as Lioness, arrived in Florida on October 31, 2023, and subsequently went to Wellington, to the partner of one of the individuals in Ireland. We do have the name of the woman who showed her and the jockey; however, due to legal reasons, we cannot make those names public, yet. Her performance record with the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is documented, as Lioness has been competing as a jumper in USEF events.
The sire of this equine is CFointreau Van De Withoeve, and her dam is Uggool Diamond. She has competed in Junior Jumper, Schooling Jumper, and other events sanctioned by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) in 2024.
HSI stands for Horse Sport Ireland. HSI is the national governing body for horse sports and breeding in Ireland, responsible for maintaining studbooks, regulating breeding practices, and organizing events.
