Description: Last seen Stephenville, TX, �" I am the legal owner of Chics. I contacted a female trainer  (that I have known since 2010 and who lives in Stephenville) in October 2021 regarding sending him to her for a career change. Chics entered her training program in November 2021. After a few months in her training program (I paid every monthly invoice she presented in full and on time), the trainer started having her live-in boyfriend ride him. In April 2022, I moved to Texas and started working for her cleaning paddocks for a reduced rate for my mare and new foal which were also in her care at her facility. A couple of months after I started cleaning for her, her demeanor towards me became hostile and she would not communicate with me at all. In December 2022, when I came to clean the paddocks I saw that her boyfriend had moved Chics (without my authority and knowledge) from the trainer’s facility to an undisclosed location and refused to tell me who had him or where he was. I told the trainer I wanted him back and she refused without any explanation. Because I could no longer trust her or her boyfriend. I knew I needed to relocate my mare and foal quickly for fear of losing them too. After they were safe, I posted Chics on numerous social media sites in 2023-24 hoping someone would see him and let me know where he was. In the summer of 2024, I was able to find out (and see for myself) that Chics was at the female trainer’s facility. I filed a civil case against both of them because the court required mandated mediation. At the mediation, their attorney would not allow them to participate in a resolution and, thus, nothing was settled. To date, I am still trying to find out where Chics is and who has him. I have all the documents to prove I own him and I NEVER authorized or consented to any transfer of ownership (written or verbal), I NEVER abandoned Chics  and I NEVER entered into (either orally or written) any agreement for someone to board Chics. I still do not know where he is or who has him. The trainer and boyfriend are still very much aware that I am wanting Chics back and for whatever reason (only they know) they continue to refuse to return him to me. I am asking for anyone’s help in locating where he is and who has possession of him and to please notify me if you see him or if you know where he is or who has him!! He stands out with his beautiful coloring AND has a lightning bolt brand on his left shoulder. I know people know this horse and know where Chics is and I am asking them to PLEASE contact me and let me know. Thank you all for your help in keeping an eye out for him!!
