Description: Long story, sorry; at a Mustang Makeover in Chandler/Queen Creek area AZ, on or about very early months of 2016, I convinced Randy Helm, director of the Florence Prison BLM/Inmate program, to enter a "babysitter" mare (in with a group of young fillies, NOT participating in the Makeover) into the program. He agreed. Three weeks later Randy called me and informed the horse was a program failure. I had the choice of keeping her or reassigning her. I opted to reassign her to a woman named Dena Pogue, living in Vail AZ. Dena stayed in very close contact with me up till about the end of 2021. After that, silence. I reached out over time with no response. Recently I reached out to the only people I could access on her Facebook page-- eventually a woman knew her pretty well reached to connections I did not have and came back with the information that Dena had passed away of cancer in October of 2023. The woman, Allison Gray, got a lead that Samora was currently, as far as her sources knew, living on a ranch (owned by unnamed gentleman) in Eager AZ. All I want to know is that Samora is okay and if she's not, I'd like to try and bring her home. I am making ZERO claims of ownership to this horse-- just feeling guilty and want to try and find her if possible and I'm out of leads on my own.
